At a glance. We collect only the information we need to take care of you: primarily your contact details, order history, and basic site analytics. We do not sell your personal information. We use it to fulfil orders, support you, send you communications you have asked for, and improve our products. You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, and you can ask us to delete it.

Who We Are

This website, thermatov.ca, is operated by Thermatov, an Ontario, Canada based brand designing and selling premium saunas, cold plunges, and supporting accessories. References to “we”, “us”, and “our” mean Thermatov. References to “you” and “your” mean the visitor or customer interacting with our website, products, or services.

Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: information you provide directly, information collected automatically as you use the site, and information from third parties involved in fulfilling your order.

Information you provide directly includes your name, email address, shipping and billing addresses, phone number, payment details (handled by our payment processors and never stored on our servers), and any messages you send us through forms, email, or live chat.

Information collected automatically includes your IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, pages viewed, and approximate location based on IP. This information is collected via cookies, server logs, and analytics tools.

Information from third parties includes order, fulfilment, and delivery information shared with us by our payment processors, shipping carriers, and any installation partners involved in your order.

How We Use Information

We use your information to operate our business and serve you. Specifically, we use it to:

  • Process your orders, payments, shipping, returns, and warranty claims;
  • Communicate with you about your purchase, including order updates, delivery scheduling, and post-installation follow up;
  • Provide customer support and respond to enquiries;
  • Send you marketing communications, but only if you have signed up for our newsletter or otherwise opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time);
  • Improve our website, products, and services through aggregated analytics;
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised activity;
  • Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences, measure traffic, and understand how visitors interact with our content. Some cookies are essential. For example, those that keep your shopping cart functioning. Others are optional and help us improve the experience.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling non-essential cookies will not break the site, but it may limit certain features. We may use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, and similar industry-standard tools to understand site usage. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.

Third-Party Services

We share information with third parties only as needed to operate our business. This includes payment processors (such as Stripe or our credit card gateway), shipping carriers, installation partners, email and marketing platforms, and our website hosting and security providers. Each of these parties is contractually required to protect your information and to use it only for the purposes we direct.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Data Security

We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), restricted access controls, and reputable hosting and payment partners. No system is perfectly secure, but we take security seriously and review our practices regularly.

Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations (including tax, accounting, and warranty record-keeping requirements), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.

Your Rights

Subject to applicable law (including Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, or PIPEDA), you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • Withdraw your consent to our use of your information at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions;
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal record-keeping obligations;
  • Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your local data-protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@thermatov.ca. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Children

Our website and products are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of sixteen. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Anonymous website activity

We count opens of selected public pages to understand interest in our products and services and help our team respond to website activity. Counts are grouped by page and minute. They describe page opens, not unique people, and our team may receive an alert summarizing this activity.

This feature does not use visitor identifiers, tracking cookies, browser storage or fingerprints. Its activity records contain the approved public page name and path, the minute and the number of opens. They do not contain your name, email, IP address, browser details, location, referring page or URL query. We do not connect these anonymous counts to inquiries or customer profiles.

Pending delivery expires after 24 hours. Stored delivery payloads are cleared within 48 hours through the scheduled cleanup, and Command OS retains aggregate activity for 30 days. Routine website hosting and security logs are separate from this feature and are covered by the other sections of this policy.

Saved browser visit history is a separate feature with its own privacy control. Turning that history off does not turn anonymous page counts into a personal browsing history. This section was added September 19, 2026.

Approximate visitor location is derived from the IP address using IP Geolocation by DB-IP, licensed under CC BY 4.0.

Your website visit history

Visit history starts when a public page opens, unless you have turned it off or your browser sends a privacy signal. We record approved public pages, return visits, visible-page time, general browser, operating-system and device categories, configurator opening and interaction milestones, and approximate city or region from a local IP-location database when available, for up to 90 days. A short-lived buffer in this tab retries pending activity for up to 30 minutes. Your IP address is not stored in visit history. When you submit an inquiry, its verified browser session can be linked to your request. Turn visit history off here to stop collection and remove saved history and inquiry links. Your inquiry and messages remain on record.

Website visit history notice updated September 21, 2026.

Website visit history

Visit history starts when a public page opens, unless you have turned it off or your browser sends a privacy signal. We remember the public pages you visit, return visits and time pages stay visible for up to 90 days. We may show an approximate city or region when available.

Visit history also includes general browser, operating-system and device categories, and configurator opening and interaction milestones. A short-lived buffer in this tab retries pending activity for up to 30 minutes. We do not store your IP address in visit history.

When you send an inquiry from this browser, we attach that visit to help our team understand your interests. Older visits are labelled as possible same-browser history, since someone else may share this browser.

We do not record typing, form answers, details in link parameters, exact location or device fingerprints. You can browse and send inquiries with this off.

Turn off to stop collection and remove saved visit history and its inquiry links. Your inquiry and messages stay on record. This choice is separate from marketing consent.
