Built to last. Every Thermatov product is engineered for daily use over decades. Our warranty reflects that. We cover the craftsmanship, electrical, and component-level integrity of every unit we ship, with terms tailored to the way each product is actually used.

The warranty period begins on the date of original delivery to the original purchaser.
Saunas
Our 5-year limited craftsmanship warranty covers the wood frame, panels, and major joinery against defects in materials and workmanship. The 2-year controls warranty covers thermostats, control boards, glass panels, door hardware, and integrated lighting. Sauna heaters are covered directly by the manufacturer’s warranty (HUUM, Harvia, and others) — Thermatov does not provide a separate heater warranty.
Wood is a natural, living material. Minor surface checking, hairline cracks, grain and knot variation, seasonal movement, resin bleed, colour and tone variation, and the gradual silvering of outdoor cedar are natural characteristics, not defects, and do not affect the structure or function of your sauna. Surface care and proper ventilation are part of normal sauna ownership and are not covered under warranty.
Cold Plunges and Water Chillers
Our 2-year cold-plunge and chiller warranty covers all components (tub, insulation, plumbing, chiller compressor, sensors, and controls) against defects in materials and workmanship.
Chillers are not designed to operate below -10°C ambient temperature. Operating a chiller in conditions colder than this, or leaving water lines unprotected during freezing weather, voids warranty coverage on the affected components. We provide detailed cold-weather operation guidance with every order.
Outdoor Showers
Our 2-year outdoor-shower warranty covers fixtures, valves, plumbing fittings, and structural components against defects in materials and workmanship. Mineral build-up, corrosion from improper water chemistry, and freeze damage from inadequate winterisation are not covered.
Accessories
Accessories carry a 1-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Sauna rocks should be inspected annually and replaced as they crack or crumble; this is normal wear and is not covered by warranty.
What Is Covered
Coverage applies to defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use, in line with our installation, operation, and maintenance instructions. Where a covered defect is confirmed, we will, at our option, repair the product, ship a replacement part, replace the product, or issue a credit.
What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear, fading, scratches, or surface marks acquired through use;
- Any defect, damage, or failure arising from installation not performed by Thermatov or a Thermatov-certified installer — including customer self-installation or installation by a third party we have not certified, and any installation that does not follow our published specifications. Installations performed by Thermatov or our certified installers remain covered against defects in our own workmanship;
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accident, abuse, vandalism, or modifications;
- Damage from acts of nature, including floods, windstorms, lightning, falling trees, fire, freezing, and similar events;
- Damage caused by failure to follow our maintenance, operation, or storage guidance;
- Damage from incorrect electrical supply, water chemistry, or environmental conditions outside specification;
- Cosmetic variation in natural materials, including wood grain, knots, tone variation, and silvering of outdoor cedar;
- Products purchased second-hand, used commercially without disclosure, or moved from their original installation site without our prior approval;
- Consumable items such as sauna rocks, cleaning supplies, and replacement filters;
- Labour costs for removal, reinstallation, or transport beyond our standard warranty service;
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost time, alternative accommodation, or business interruption.
How to File a Warranty Claim
- Email info@thermatov.ca with your order number, model, the date of delivery, a description of the issue, and clear photos or short video of the problem.
- Our team will review and respond within 1 to 2 business days. For most issues we will diagnose remotely; for complex cases we may schedule a video call to inspect the unit live.
- If a covered defect is confirmed, we will issue a warranty authorisation and ship replacement parts directly. Most parts arrive within 5 to 10 business days within Canada.
- Where a unit replacement is required, we will coordinate freight pickup of the original unit and delivery of the replacement.
Repair, Replacement, or Credit
For confirmed covered defects, we reserve the right to choose, in good faith, between repair, replacement of the affected part, replacement of the unit, or issuing store credit, based on what we determine is the most appropriate remedy. Where repair or part replacement is appropriate and reasonable, we may proceed with that resolution before authorising a unit replacement or refund.
Transferability
This warranty is extended to the original purchaser and is not transferable. If you sell or gift your unit, the new owner is not covered under our warranty.
Statutory Rights
This warranty is in addition to, and does not affect, any rights you may have under the consumer-protection laws of your province or territory of residence. Where applicable law provides for warranty terms or remedies that are more favourable to you than those described here, those legal terms and remedies will apply.
